We are children of The Most High

I am a child of God

I Am A Child of God...As I was pondering this statement when Everett and I were first married, I had a thought that deeply impressed me. What if we took each word in the phrase and looked at it individually? Personally the meaning changed significantly. Instead of simply thinking, "I Am A Child of God" I thought of each detail in that beautiful phrase.
"I", me personally, an individual, with different talents, trials, and aspirations...
"Am", meaning literal, this isn't some idea to get us through life, this is truth!...
"A", we are not alone, we are numbered among all who have and ever will live upon the earth, we are brothers and sisters...
"Child", Everyone... big or small...old or new to life are still very very young in eternity, we all have so much to learn (so much that we can't even comprehend), think about it; we might call ourselves adults but it doesn't justify anything that God does not allow and although at times we feel superior to children they are closer to the veil than any of us. God said "become as a child"...
"of God", we are children of God, God of all, God of heaven and earth and all things that in them are, we have divine nature because He is divine, we have the potential to be like Him because that's what He wants us to be, and He will always watch over and provide because He is our Father!...
This perspective has changed my way of thinking and hope it has touched you too.
